A good friend of mine and Army Aviator has brought me to one of the best kept secrets of the northern Minnesota and my new clamp for every trip to Camp Ripley. Ladies and gentlemen, I will present you Zoomskis. Since my first breakfast visit in August 2017, I have made it a mandatory place for breakfast and coffee when I can find the time. And I always find a way to make time. The coffee is excellent (and I just talk about the regular cup of coffee), the food is always amazing (I almost always get the cookies and Gravy, it is all of scratches with a local supplier on the sausage), but I think the best part about this gem is the ambience. You feel like you're in a house of a family friend hanging around with Minnesotans and getting to know Ron's diners and chatting a bit if you have a moment to talk. It is not fast so if you are in a hurry then Zoomski is probably not the place for you. But in my opinion, this is the whole reason why you're going to eat here. To slow down, chat with small villagers and simply enjoy life and good community with your fellow human being. So stop by and see Ron, take a place, maybe read a bit of the New Yorker or the Trib, and enjoy a home cooked meal through a large cook.
