went for lunch here, ordered the pork steak with spatzle and sauce, my wife ordered the rump steak medium. her steak showed up extremely rare, so they took it back to cook it longer, but they just put the whole plate in the oven, which...worked a little but meant we had to wait for her food an extra minutes... so mine was very cold... service was typical German.... slow and its as if they really don't care what you want. however the spatzle was good..... and the view... this place is really just for kiosk food, chicken nuggets and pommes, nothing more

The restaurant sits right on the Rhine and is a hub of activity. Visitors come by car, motorcycle, bicycle and kayak. While we ate our lunch we enjoyed the river traffic as well as excellent service. I ordered the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The vegetables were rich and tasty and complimented the rest of the dish. My husband's meal (beef and onions) was also good and filling. I don't know if the ferry still runs across the Rhine (high water closed the road on the other side of the river), but it is another good reason to visit this location.

Basic the restaurant next to Rhein. You can sit on the biergarten and see traffic on Rhein. Next to restaurant is a small ferry crossing to France so you can see quite a bit motorcycle/car traffic too. Interesting place and nice place for quick lunch but do not expect too much. We would probably stop for lunch again.

We ate here with friends and family and the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food excellent with a good choice. A wonderful setting along the Rhine.
