First time visiting this location since they moved. Maybe my fault for going during lunch hour when the food is rushed and doesnt come out as good. Ordered 2 plates with 2 custom orders, both being No hummus, extra salad instead the person taking the order even confirmed over the phone no hummus yet both plates still had hummus. Customer service is still friendly but it seems as they dont have time to check orders. Food used to taste like an Armenian grandmother made it. Now it tastes like someone brought leftover food to a potluck at work. Ill give it another try when its not as busy and see if there are any differences.
The new location had great parking and modern interior. Near lake balboa and Woodley park so you can take your meal to go and have a picnic. Items can be ordered a la cart which is not in the menu. One guy got just a container of beef and garlic sauce for a good price, genius!Parking: New location has great parking.
It was my first time trying this restaurant. I requested to speak to the manager for some allergies concern. Diana was very knowledgeable and helpful, she answered each question without hesitation. The food was delicous we ordered a tarna plate and kabob. I will definitely be coming back.
The food at Zankou never disappoints. I 'm glad they have a larger location now, but I am not a huge fan of the set up nor the decor. It seems way to corporate/cookie cutter . I really hope their food doesn 't lose that family home cooked meal like the location sort of did.Food: 5/5
