We visited Ye Old New Inn for the second time today and were disappointed that they were once again not serving food at lunchtime. We went a couple of months ago to find they were not serving food at lunchtime as they were finding it difficult to get a chef. They were only serving food in the evening. Their web site said they were serving lunch but this was incorrect. Yesterday we messaged them to ask if they were doing food at lunchtime today, and were reassured that the full lunch menu would be available. The web site also stated that lunch was served. We made a special trip to find that they were having problems getting a chef and there was no food available once again. We will not visit Ye Old New Inn again, but today we went to the nearby Harbour Inn and had a delicious meal. We will certainly return to The Harbour Inn.

Called in for Sunday lunch yesterday. They offer a carvery lunch. When we approached the bar there were 3 members of staff behind it. No one gave us any eye contact and we waited for a long time until they acknowledged us. I appreciate they were busy but did not appreciate the older woman behind the bar serving two locals who actually arrived a considerable amount of time after us before serving us! The carvery was well, ok ish...the yorkshire puddings were limp and the beef over cooked. The vegetables were inedible as they were cooked to death. I thought the price they were charging was not value for money. Sadly I think we will not be returning any time soon.

Dined here on Sunday and throughly enjoyed our carvery. Well organised with no queuing. Choice of three meats and a good selection of vegetables. We were given good portions of meat. We sat in the “conservatory” room at the back with plenty of windows to look out of onto the countryside. We would definitely go back for the roast and also try their main menu on another day as Sunday is Carvery day.

Went on the recommendation of a friend, for the Sunday afternoon carvery. The food and service were fabulous, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended
