We are going quite often to Saarburg and have already tried various restaurants. Most were average or not worth going back to. So we had a very nice surprise discovering this restaurant. At first sight it seems quite traditional, yet the food was very tasty....I had chicken with noodles and a sage sauce, which gave the whole food a modern touch. The desert, on the other hand waffles with nectarine ragout was rather disappointing. The waffle was rather dry and the ragout initially forgotten on one of the portions was mostly nectarine cut in small cubes. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed at some points. However, we will definitely go back to this place and hope to discover more from the menu
Stayed here for one night, so chose to eat in the restaurant. Staff were pleasant, a typically German styled restaurant with typical German meaty dishes. The meat was incredibly tender and the sauce was quite rich, but it was good that they didn't overload you...with a load of chips! so when you left the meal you didn't feel bloated but comfortable as I can't help but nibble away at any chips left on my plate!!. The price was good not overly priced, imagine it is far busier in the summer than a wet November's night. Would I return if in the area yes, as good value, tasty in good clean surroundings
This restaurant is located in the town centre of Saarburg, so you have to expect some walking you can not park in front of the door. This is not a typical touristical trap, you will receive there a good localGerman meal for an affordable price,...even if it's not cheap. Service is very polite and friendly. Nothing to complain about
good, but busy place. Not disturbing, many customers means the quality is known and good. Tipical German kitchen with personal touch from the kitchen
