Food, service, staff, venue - 10/10 all round. What a wonderful experience! We were a very diverse group of over 30 people (Indian, Arab, British and Austrian) and this place managed to satisfy everyone, a real challenge easily overcome! The menu offers sufficient choices of starters, mains and deserts (some local, others European. The location is alongside Lake Constance within view of the Bregenz Festspiele (a stage built on the lake.) The restaurant was completely full and yet the service could not have been better - the waiter's smile said it all. Bravo Wirthaus am See, we will be back.

We were in Bregenz with friends who were celebrating their wedding anniversary. They had been married on s ship in the lake 15 years earlier. As is our tradition, my wife and I shared a traditional Austrian dish, Kassespaetzle. Spaetzle is a Germanic traditional pasta. The dish was super chocked with kasse or cheese and topped with caramelized onions. It was served in a round wooden dish which kept the pasta warm throughout the meal. We also had a lovely side salad with local greens. You order the mac

Quick decision on saturday evening. Made reservation by phone - kind 'kein Problem!' Arrived and even the whole stuff was in Seebühne Carmen-stress - we got a really nice table with lake and stage view. Dont expect british kindness - this is an Austrian Wirtshaus on a great level. Traditional Schnitzel and daily starters can be highly recommended. If you prefer a wine instead of a classic beer, have a look at the wine menu, that offers some nice wines for a good time

Opted for traditional Weiner Schnitzel for main course and was not disappointed, absolutely delicious! A lovely cosy atmosphere inside on what was a very wet, chilly unseasonable August evening. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Had eaten here before a couple of years ago on a sunny, warm day and sat outdoors, which was lovely as we were looking over the lake, and experienced the same good food and friendly service. Will be back again.
