Winchell's Donut House

10/1/23 Finally tried another local donut place in Bellflower- it says OPEN 24 hrs, even at the signage but it's open 5 am until midnight.It was a quick split second decision to pass by, I'm not a huge donut fan but, why not? First impression? Not what I expected, which would've been a poorly inventoried amount of donuts with half of the homeless population standing by inside...nope. I was surprised to see a few locals sitting down having coffee donuts with a plethora of beautifully arranged array of baked (and fried treats! I was greeted with a smile by a young lady who assisted me in ordering my apple fritter (there's a choice of a small regular size!! Love it! , Hubby's bear claw to my amazement, I wanted to try a pumpkin flavored donut, glazed. This pumpkin flavor is growing on me: . It was a bit warm indoors I would imagine that's not the climate I would want to dit under-luckily I was just passing through. This donut shop started out as a 24 hr service but just as I expected, it did not have that kind of traffic to sustain it--Bellflower is not exactly the hub of activity even though this shop is located in a small plaza within a few yards of the 91 freeway entrance/exit. As for the Apple fritter, it was pretty good, not the best I've had but it was worth trying

My ice coffee was made perfect and my mom food was awesome too even was overpriced $17.09 just for ice coffee and small coffee and two breakfast bagels? But was worth it I guess
