How quickly your dinning experience can turn around at the change of a server. There are few other places to go for something to eat at this holiday destination so you can expect that having lunch on the terrace overlooking an incredible view of the mountains and lake in Switzerland no less would not be a cheap endeavor but that could not have really prepared me for the outcome of this meal. The waitress that we started with was excellent and spoke flawless English ... our food, though probably way more than we needed to be eating for a late lunch, was very solid and the trout exceptionally fresh. Our waitress then mysteriously disappeared and when I was finally able to extract the bill from the owner I was shocked to see that I'd been charged 30CHF for a bottle of water!? Especially since we didn't have a bottle of water! The owner apologized profusely and came back with the adjusted bill which now had a charge of 12CHF for 3 glasses of water! I explained that we had only had tap water and the owner exclaimed that of course the tap water wasn't free, she had to pay for the water and we should too! I'm pretty sure it's not legal to charge for tap water but my friends and I were so shocked that we didn't know what to do and nice we were so relaxed from our enjoyable meal didn't have the fire to fight back. So I suggest that if you do eat here, bring your fighting gloves!
