"This place is good for full course meals of tapas type food for sharing. It has a nice secluded courtyard which is great for people who want to eat al fresco and enjoy a smoke in colder weather."

A group of four of us wanted to lunch during a visit to Gandia on the Costa Blanca coast. We searched the lovely town and by luck found Visconti. They were very busy at lunch time on a Saturday, with mainly Spanish customers. We had not booked a table in advance but after a short wait they found us a very nice table silver service. After considering the menu which was very varied, one of the group found a tasting menu at E45 each and everyone was up for it. Having arrived without notice we wondered if this very busy restaurant could live up to the range and variety on this special menu. We wondered if the kitchen would cope but sat back and waited. It all arrived, spaced out well, presented with flair and even included oysters. We were very happy with the food and whilst in Spain E45 is a high price, compared with what you would pay for this quality in UK, it was well worth it. The waiter was attentive, gave good recommendation for wine and smiled a lot. We all said we would go again.

My wife stumbled upon Visconti while it was being refurbished prior to opening. After a walk around Gandia, out of sheer curiosity we went to take a look. The outside looks great, and very inviting, so impromptu lunch it was! The reception from the staff was great, and very patient with our mediocre Spanish, and we had soon picked our way through the menu with enough confidence to order! We both chose a salad to start, with lamb chops and a steak as main course, all of which was beautifully presented, and didn't disappoint in taste. As for the bill, coming from Surrey, we expected to pay a huge amount more than the 50 or so euros that the bill came to!! A very welcome addition to our must visits when we are in town

Visited Visconti on a number of occasions since moving to gandia , staff have always treated us with great respect . We do not speak Spainish and all the staff help us out , they are so friendly and helpful . The building is lovely , atmosphere is really nice with good music playing . We are grand parents and spent New Years dinner in the outer court yard with our daughter , son in law and two grand children . All 3 generations where looked after superbly by every member of staff . The food was enjoyed by everyone . Thank you all so much , we will be back soon . Regards Richard and Pam hastie

What a beautiful space to go out with friends for dinner. À charming courtyard patio where we dined. The menu is attractive and not too expensive. The portions were generous. Great service. We will return
