General: Madame put on Sunday evening hunger. I had no desire to go great yet somewhere, and my feeling of hunger kept within limits. Why not return to Vesuvio in Stiepel? My proposal was accepted. The restaurant Vesuvio in Stiepel also got a new owner in 2009, probably just after our last visit. The staff was no longer known to me. It used to be the Fam. Anza led like all the other Vesuvio restaurants or pizza service in Bochum. In 1979, on the Kortumstraße in today's Bermuda Triangle, the 1st Vesuvio Restaurant opened. Later, there was a floor higher, where there is an Indian restaurant today before it moved to the Brothers' Street and was sold a few years ago. In 1990 the pizzeria Vesuvio on the freegrapher dam was added, which was mainly the pizza tax. there were four or five tables to dine out there. This place on the Freigrafendamm was then also sold a few years ago but still managed under the old name, but no longer in Italian hands and also no longer with the old staff. In the meantime, this restaurant Vesuvio was opened here in Stiepel. Ambience: The restaurant is appropriately decorated with a large window front where the windows can open doors in summer. The tables are all covered with a white fabric table cloth, cutlery, white fabric servings, vase with flower, a candle (with tea light) and the typical Kantien salt pepper tax, so it looks very friendly. There are about 45 50 seats inside and in summer there are some tables outside the door. The place was well visited and the age class was open from mid 30 to end. Welcome Order: We were very kindly greeted by a gentleman with a little less hair very kindly. We were allowed to choose a free table and chose the last table on the right side at the window front (calculation table 13). We were given the menus and asked for our drinks. A Alster was ordered for €2.50 and once Cola Light 0,3l for €2.50, which were nicely cooled by another Mr. Kellner. This also pointed us to a table on the wall with daily dishes and an additional daily ticket with other dishes at the beginning of the menu, which included various appetizers, salads, soup, pasta, pizza, fish and meat dishes. Since I wasn't really hungry, it should be the classic Penne Rigate All Arrabiata molto picante for 6. € and for Madame von der Tageskarte once be rabbit fillet with mushrooms, garlic and supplements for €16.50.(I was wondering if this can go well with the rabbit in an Italian restaurant) Food: At first we were given a plate with 2 pizza rolls per person as Brusschetta and 2 Pepperonis and a Pfeffdermühle. They tasted, but they were nothing special now. After a pleasant waiting period, the ordered dishes were served. My penne all Arrabiata were served very hot, from the amount well dimensioned and were very delicious from strength and sauce. Sharp was sufficiently present and also abundant onions and Pepperonis could be found on the plate. This pasta dish was very tasty and even tasted much better than on Friday night at the Trattoria in Dortmund. Madame also got a large plate with the rabbit fillet, with mushrooms, enough knobi, and a side dish with cauliflower, fried potato slices and a few small tomato slices from Brusschetta. It was also very hot and from the crowd also OK. The rabbit fillet with sauce and mushrooms tasted her very well. The potato slices I tried had personally been fried for a little too long if they were now self-made or a convenience product, I can't say 100%, but I guess the last. The concerns about the rabbit were fortunately without reason and so for our food this time can be distributed 4 stars without concerns. In the meantime, drinks were also excellent. During the meal and also after that, we were asked very carefully whether we were satisfied. After clearing, the waiter asked us if we would still like a Limoncello or Grappa to the house. Madame chose the Limoncello and I chose the Grappa who tasted us both. Conclusion: Despite a not Italian cook, the food tasted very good. We were served friendly and attentive and the PLV was also suitable for our consumed dishes. We will certainly return there on occasion, especially as it is not far away.
