Overall, not bad. The atmosphere is very nice and the service was outstanding. We arrived about 8:15. It felt like they were pushing everyone to hurry so they could close at 9:30. They didn 't say to hurry, but it was obvious they wanted everyone out by 9:30. My advice, if you want everyone gone by a certain time, stop seating earlier. Now the food. Since we are looking for a new go to in this area, we went with the basics, spaghetti and lasagna. They started with a load of bread and dip, then salad and then entrees. The spaghetti came with two good size meatballs and a small piece of Italian sausage. No meat in the sauce. The sauce was great. The lasagna was very good. It could have used a little more ricotta, but still very good. I 'm sure we will come here again to try some of their other dishes.
My sister and I were just for a short visit to the area and of course I wanted to eat. A really sweet nurse in the hospital recommended that we try this Italian restaurant. Of course I was a game because I love Italian cuisine. We were greeted by the nicest server and she took our order. It was the end of the lunch time so it wasn't crowded at all. The atmosphere was very pleasant and welcoming. We both ordered the chicken Alfredo with Linguine. Oh, my God. It was only Devine. The best I ever had. It was hot and creamy with a lot of chicken. I must say I was impressed. The food and service was great and I'll eat there again. If you're ever in the area, I would recommend eating here. You're gonna be a treat!
Venucci is a LaGrange clamp! From friendly staff to delicious homemade food, this place is a wonderful experience! My favorite dish is her house speciality the chicken tort Carbonara!! Such a treat! The most unique salad dressing I ever had is her tomato base blue cheese, it is to die! Save space for dessert because they handwork with love you can taste!
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner. The service was great, the staff was very nice and the food was delicious. Atmosphere was quaintly intimate. A return visit is definitely in our future.
