Three of us went to these premises on Saturday 2nd April 2016 and were not very impressed. We were the only customers intending to have a meal and the young waitress was friendly but spent time sitting at the bar with her mobile phone which in my books is not a good sign. staff phones should be switched off when they are work. She took our drinks order and this arrived quite quickly then came back for our meal order, I ordered the chicken with Cous Cous at 8 Euros my wife ordered chicken Tagine at 11.50 Euros and our friend ordered salmon fillet. A little while later the waitress returned to say they had no Salmon and brought the menu back our friend then ordered vegetable Lasagne. The waitress came back to say they had none of this either so he then ordered meat Lasagne. The meals came out after a short wait and the first thing to say about it was that it was only warm the basic reason for this was it was on COLD and I mean COLD plates which we did mention to the waitress. Comparing mine and my wife's meal there was very little difference, I had a small pile of Cous Cous with a mixture of onion dried fruits and garbanzos on the top and 2 small pieces of Chicken on the bone at the side and my wife had 2 small pieces of chicken on the bone with the same mixture on top minus the garbanzos a few chips and a small portion of what was probably frozen vegetables for 3.50 Euros more it was not good value for money. Our friends Lasagne was dried out on the top and he left that part of it. As I have mentioned the waitress was sitting at the bar talking and using her mobile phone and I had to get up from the table and go to get her to order another glass of wine for my wife. During the whole time we were there we were the only customers eating and I think that was a sign. We will not be going back
This is a great place to eat, Pepe is very proud of his restaurant, he cooks all his meat dishes on his wood burning BBQ, great steaks, try the Vacio (Bachio) with chips, very tasty. They do quite a few differant steaks and the BBQ half chicken and chips is excellent value at 6€. They have regular music nights too in summer and in their large room in winter months. Open from 10am till around 12 midnight. They also do Burgers, pizza and Paella as well as tapas. They also do a very good english breakfast.
We have just started frequenting this bar as our other local has gone downhill a bit. Very competitive beer and wine prices. Food is good honest Fare very tasty and always pipping hot. Bar staff are always very welcoming. Great little restaurant to eat or just somewhere to have a few vino tintos.
Having been here a few times I find the food to be inconsistent.Some days you can be lucky other days not so lucky. We had a BBQ platter which was mainly cold stringy pork. Its cheap and cheerful I cant say anymore than that.
