We really enjoyed the food in Veda! I think the star of the evening was our waitress who was so funny, fresh and helpful! We asked for garlic naan with chopped green chilli on top and our waitress was more than ready to try our inquiry (this next time! in India we call it Turbo Naan). The food was beautiful and had authenticity embedded in every dish. We felt at home and relished in the magnificent aromas in our dishes. I'll say that her Srikhand (a Maharashtran yogurt delicacies) was not the best and was not promised to us with the raspberry; its consistency is more consistent with Rabdi (a milkfat pudding), and it was quite underwhelming. Apart from that, the culinary experience was nothing less perfect!
Had been craving Indian for a while and my friend suggested Veda. Have never been and hadn't had this cuisine in a while. I love the taste profile but needed help in what to order. Our server, Laura, was amazing. She proactively led me through the menu and was super knowledgeable. She guided us through flavors, plate sizes, and heat levels. The food was SO GOOD from start to finish. I had lamb vindaloo and it was rich and delicious! Overall service was amazing, drinks were delicious, and food hit out of the park. 10/10 would recommend and will return. Thanks, Laura (who is an 11/10)! Pictured is the poached blueberry dessert.
Some great food and cocktails in a contemporary setting, definitely going back! 'Old Fashioned Gabbar ' was great (they were nice enough to make this custom with Woodford Reserve! . Mirch Murgh Tikka, Fish Peri Peri, Lamb Chops, Gulab Jamun/Ice Cream and Pistachio Ricotta Cheesecake are my top picks
We went to Veda on Saturday. We had Chicken Lababdaar, Gauner, Gaumenchaat and Chickenkabob. We enjoyed the experience. The food was really great, it was tasteful, and tasted fresh. The service was just as great. The restaurant was full at 9:30, definitely a good sign.
