"What a rip off. £34 for 2 sausage rolls, 2 sandwiches (not freshly made) and 4 non alcoholic drinks. No wonder there aren't any seats inside anymore."

Visited Urban Jungle with a friend on a Sunday afternoon for a catch up etc., and admittedly I had never been pre-Covid, but the cafe was just fine… it was a neither “here nor there” experience. The cafe was fine; the jungle setting wasn’t necessarily a winning factor in the ‘experience’. It was much smaller than I imagined from the rave reviews I had heard about. Atmosphere felt quite stuffy and ‘close’ (having said that, I normally find that with a cafe at garden centre!)The food was fine too; quiche (only savoury smack available). A little bland but edible. Coffee was fine too. Cost was on the pricier side I felt…The service was fine, again. Staff were pleasant when taking an order and apologising for the “big” order just taken before mine. Service did not take long either. Overall, a ‘just fine’ place to catch up with a friend. Would I go again… probably yes and probably not. I wouldn’t necessarily actively go out of my way. If someone suggested it, I’d go but with maybe a slight grimace.

Visited Urban Jungle and called in the cafe. I asked the member of staff, who was miserable, if they had drinks suitable for children. Only to be offered orange or apple juice. Sausage rolls were priced at £5.95. I asked if they could be heated up. That was asking a bit to much!!!! No microwave available. For that price I thought they would be served with a side salad. Got that wrong. They were still in the packets on 2 paper plates, they did provide 2 wooden knives and forks. I got 2 cold sausage rolls, 1 piece of carrot cake and 2 paper plates for the grandchildren. 1 coffee in a paper cup, 1 orange juice and 2 apple juices for the extortionate cost of £28.00. Thank goodness I didn't get a slice of cake for each grandchild. Would have needed a bank loan. Don't think this will be on the top of my list to visit again.

Very disappointing visit. I used to bring my children here all the time pre-Covid (when they banned kids). We came back for the first time in January 2023 and it’s really gone downhill. All the lovely sofas and relaxed seating has gone, as has most of the menu. It’s REALLY expensive. £3.60 for a coffee! I ordered a tea which was a bag in a mug (previously you would get loose leaf tea in a pot). The sausage rolls were anaemic looking and pricey. Not much change from £10 for a mug of tea, an apple juice and a packet of crisps.

Went there with a friend this week, decided to have a piece of cake and a coffee in paper cup each (nothing special!! No prices on display that we could see, grumpy woman serving who presented us with card reader, only later found out £14 had been deducted. Extortionate for what you get, definitely won't be returning
