Tugboat Fish Chips

We stopped into Tugboat today for some quick fish and chips. It was a lot bigger inside than I thought it would be, with booths lining the side with windows. Originally it was the painted windows that caught my eye and we're always excited to try a new spot.When I walked in I was greeted right away and I ordered the two fish-fish and chips $11.99) and some lumpia $9.99). I snapped some photos as I waited and it was out within five to ten minutes and it was HOT and FRESH! When I got to the car we immediately wanted to try a bite and it was seriously so fresh and hot. After that first bite we decided to let it cool down and all of it was delicious. We'll definitely be stopping by again to try more of the options from the menu, but the fish and chips and lumpia are worth getting again.

Accidentally placed a family order for lent last week with wrong tugboat online. When my husband arrived at the tugboat we thought we ordered from there was no order. So I called the incorrect Tugboat to cancel however they would not cancel. Called my bank to stop payment however since I used debit card rather than credit the bank investigated and tried to negotiate with Citrus Heights Tugboat to no avail. So we are out $67+. Expensive mistake and extremely unhappy with the way Citrus Heights Tugboat does business. No stars for you.

Had fish n chips. Fish was okay, not greasy, fries were like winco frozen. It was all just mediocre. $12.99 for 2 piece n fries. Place is tired... many seats covered in duct tape. Soda machine broken. You have to buy soda by the can.Food: 3/5

Cute diner with nautical theme, very friendly staff and oh my goodness, the fish and crinkle-cut fries are wonderful!Food: 5/5
