Very nice location with beautiful views of the lake with very easy access. The rooms was very comfortable except for the awful cigarette smell in a nonsmoking room. Thank goodness we had very nice comfortable weather at night which allowed us to turn off the air conditioning open the window for the disputed. As a result, the cigarette smoke smell disapated for the most part. Thank goodness ?.The restaurant was great! Good food, waaay big portions that were well prepared?! The restaurant staff did a great job trying to accommodate everyone. There was just these 2 young women working tables when we were there they were working their butts off. One young lady, (tall, blonde, a little heavy set)had quite a sense of humor about everything. She really made people feel relaxed to just take it all in stride. All in all, it was a great visit at Topaz Lodge. We will definitely stay there again.
Haven’t stayed in the rooms, but I have eaten inside the restaurant. It’s very delicious! I live there burgers and fries and the steak and eggs is also good. The waitresses are super nice and everyone there is super sweet. This lodge is by the really pretty Topaz lake so sitting and eating with a view of the lake is fantastic. Overall, this place is a great place to stop by and eat lunch with your family! (There’s also a casino for anyone who’s interested)
This lodge has seen better days. You have your typical small town zombie staff just trying to get through their shift. There’s no real service here the food is atrocious. I cannot write enough about how bad the food is. There’s a better food not only in prisons, but in public school lunch systems, the rooms are dirty and rundown. I talked to several employees that told me that this place went South about 15 years ago. This is a hard pass.
Food was ok but I received the worst jalapeno poppers I've had in a long time, just take them off the menu. Also who uses nacho cheese on a Philly cheese steak ?The restaurant was clean and refills on ice tea were plentiful.
