My son was in from California so we wanted to take him to Tony’s. We have been before and think highly of the restaurant. Positives: Calamari, wedge, steaks and pasta were very good.Positives: My mother who is very picky loved her steak although she did send it back because it was not hot when it came to the table. She still raved about it even after that. That is really something.Negatives: Lobster tail was so over cooked it came out all curled up. It took me a minute to even figure it out. I sent it back. They asked if I wanted another one. I said “no”. I was getting full anyway so no reason to add another to the bill since they obviously do not know how to cook it. Suggestion if you don’t know how to cook it then take it off of the menuNegative: Preoccupied waiter. I would have gotten a glass of wine with dinner. Waiter never asked. I have been to Tony’s before and have had very attentive waiters. Not this time.Negative: Not Tony’s fault but a large table by us were drunk and very loud. Negative: I have no desire to come back. Their steaks are very good but if you can’t cook a lobster tail it puts Tony’s as a great steakhouse in Indy at the bottom of the list. Their credibility is gone to me. Suggestion: Bringing a nice piece of desert to the table on the house would have been a nice gesture and then I may have wanted to come back. They had a full house so a party of was probably not a priority
