Thorbach - Table reservation

We were recommended this place by the lady in town who's own kitchen was closed when we arrived. We walked about 1.5km to get to it and found a little terrace where we could sit in the shade and gaze at the mountainside much nicer than being on the main road. We were greeted by the most lovely, hospitable gentleman who made us feel very welcome, despite our very sparse German and his similarly sparse English. Frankly, the other places we have visited in Switzerland could learn a thing or two about service from this guy. He was so attentive and genuine. Had a great lunch regional and local traditions in hefty portions and cold beers at a very reasonable price for the area. Would recommend to anyone!

The owner of the hotel we stayed at offered to make reservations for dinner for our family of four here. We took her up on it since we hadn't researched restaurants in the area. Our boys loved their food...they practically licked their plates. The cordon bleu was delicious and HUGE. Service was friendly and fast!
