The Stone Tavern

The Stone Tavern looked pretty cool on the outside when we were driving by so we stopped to have dinner there. We arrived on a Saturday night, around 7:30... For a bar/tavern/pub, it was surprisingly dead in there, so we had our pick of seats. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but food coming out of the kitchen was slow. And the food itself was very lackluster. We thought we'd liven things up and get dessert, but the kitchen had closed down early. Then about half an hour before the restaurant was actually due to be closed, we were told they were closing the whole restaurant early and we were sort of shooed out. Having worked in the restaurant industry before, I get it. There are no other customers and the bill was settled, so the staff wanted to close up shop early. The whole experience was overall disappointing. At least the food was warm. Solid 3 stars.

a group of four of us walked in at 9. The bar closes at 10; we were told it was last call or actually after last call and that if we had a drink we better make it quick. We downed our beer and watched the bartender continue to serve other patrons passed supposed last call. Never have we felt so unwelcome and we will spend our money at another establishment. As were were ready to leave we watched someone walk in and get served. Obviously at the point we assumed that we were stereotyped as we are a younger crowd
