The Ship Centurion

The Ship (aka) 'The German Pub ' is situated near St Alphege Church upon the HIgh Street. The pub itself sells a nice selection of local and imported beers. It is very much a local pub and is has its steady flow of regulars but its always welcoming to a new face. The pub has a steady promgramme of events (music and sports) and has done its best to protect its smokers from the outside elements. Indeed the outside area encourages conversation between strangers and indeed strange conversations have been had. A lovely local for a quick drink or indeed to settle yourself for the evning.

What a great name for a pub . A night out exploring Whitstable brought me here .Its very much a locals pub at the end of the High Street . its a single roomed open plan pub with a comfortable atmosphere . A few good real ales on and has been Kent pub of the year . Service was friendly .
