we visited after a walk to the Devil's dyke and sat in front of the foyer of the pub, which was regrettable, how the constant flow of people in and out of the pub and their failure to close the door meant that we had constant gusts of cold novemberwind directly on our table. the waiter would have numerous talks with customers on the doorway, even if a customer could pay the bill in the door with him far openly, which means that we and our food freeze. I stood up three times to close the door, and it really made one down on our trip. the food was decent, but lasted 45 minutes to get so not great. can or may not return.

After reading some of the negative reviews, we were a little uncertain to make a visit. but we are so pleased. the meals were delicious and the service was very good. credit where credit is due. recommended, and really pet friendly.

we were often at the shepherd dog and in winter they are mostly hit with a roaring log fire. this time there was no fire and we were pretty cold. the meal was good, but we felt quite cold.
