What a lovely team of staff! We stopped off for some lunch on our travels from Norfolk back to Suffolk. We did call ahead to reserve our table whilst on route and to mention we had two large dogs with us. When we arrived, it...was quaint and narrow for us to believe that our boys would fit a Irish Wolfhound and a Newfoundland…. However the staff were fantastic and already had two tables as options for our arrival! They swiftly advised a corner table in an area designated for dogs and rearranged the table placement and chairs to ensure we were all comfortable. We had food and drinks whilst our dogs slept. The staff were fantastic with star service, checking everything was okay or that we needed anything frequently. They had treats and water for the boys. The food was lovely, I had the stilton and broccoli soup for starter which was so so yummy and then we both had the beef roast! Very nice for a pub lunch. Thank you to all the team for being so welcoming and kind!

We went to the Fox on Sunday and the menu was very poor, only thing I would have was the Roast beef. Service was friendly and efficient but for the ridiculous price of just under it really wasn't worth it. The beef was really...pink and chewy, I know how well done beef is is a preference, but this was too pink. The vegetable selection was very poor, the parsnips were cold and just soft, they looked roasted and lovely but just weren't nice at all. The Yorkshire's were brought in, for the price we expected home made. Puddings were nice, but the menu is way to expensive.

Firstly a really good selection of well kept cask ales (about in total) some local and some from futher away including ESBs and porter which is nice to have in the winter time. Staff were friendly and atmosphere in the pub was great. Food...was really good: we chose from the specials menu and all had something different (steak and ale hot pot, sea bream and steak) All of these were tasty and well presented and reasonably prices. A great pub to visit .... if you are reading this review please try and support our pubs in this difficult time.

Returned here for lunch which we didn't regret. It's such a lovely traditional country pub. Great cosy atmosphere and really fantastic food. Heard plenty of customers saying how good their meals were. The food is all fresh and cooked from scratch which is very rare...nowadays. Highly recommend.
