Stopped in on Saturday while visiting the Merrick fair....looking to get out of the heat and grab a cold beer with some friends and was pleasantly surprised. Great bar and beer selection!! We all decided to try some food after looking at the menu....I had the French dip sandwich with homemade fries and it was DELICIOUS!! The bartenders were very friendly and the owner came over and introduced himself and made us all feel very welcome. Looking forward to going back again soon.
Friendly people, good atmosphere. My favorite thing here is probably the creative cocktails, the cocktail menu has changed recently, but they are still very good and very unique compared to other places. Bartender is also very warm for personal requests. Also recommended are their excellent happy hour offers, they offer very good prices for bar food and most drinks at this time, usually 50% discount.
As always a great culinary experience in Savoy Tavern! This is our families going to see that great food and live music! You are always very friendly and the service is top notch. I don't think I ever had a dish in this restaurant I didn't love. The owner Guy is a stand-up type that came to our table and gave our children coloring books that was brilliant.
very good beer selection and decent food selection. Location is also great. The main problem is the price. $15 for chicken cats without fries? Try to get there when the appetizers are halfway away, and expect to pay $8-10 per beer. great interior design but and it usually feels decisive for what is otherwise a rather standard bar.
