Visited late Saturday morning after hearing about the pig and the Broccolini sandwich. The atmosphere was alive without being too loud. A welcome sight was families eating with their children, especially for a place. Service seemed efficient and concentrated. I ordered two sandwiches: a BLTA (bascon, salad, tomatoes and avocado) and a pig and broccolini with double meat. I also have a schnapps from the cured chicken salad and the sweet potato puffs. My order was finished in about ten minutes and given to me by a friendly employee. The BLTA had a satisfactory ratio of the four ingredients together with a good textured and aromatized ciabatta. A little less mayonnaise for my taste would have perfected this combination, but overall I would order this sandwich again. The cured chicken salad has a lot of chicken, light yellow color from the fine curry flavor and enough accents from the raisins to bring everything together. The pig and the broccolini were well dosed with double meat and made the food of this vegetables quite pleasant. The pig itself had good taste and only a touch dry for me. Cheese was just enough for me. I could have used more must to give more sharpness. Like the first sandwich I would order again. The sweet potato puffs have a soft texture and a pleasant taste. Could they be warmer? Good to know where this place sits a block from the Chain Bridge road near a few other known names. As long as parking is available, I can see that I can make return trips for a sandwich repair.
