Our visit coincided with a local funeral party and the usual lounge dining wasn't available that evening. We were served in the bar area. No problem for us and the Food was excellent. Very friendly staff, nothing too much bother for them. A very enjoyable meal. Ribeye steak for me, and Pork chops for my wife. Cooked perfectly, and the Cider gravy was delicious. only serving food on Thurs Sunday. A lovely experience which we hope to enjoy again! They even made custard for my apple pie, instead of cream very nice!
Brother-in-Law's 70th birthday Family Reunion (post 2020 lockdown!! . Food was excellent and the service was brilliant. Staff went above and beyond. Even decorated the room with balloons and banners. Special thanks to the Waitress who looked after us all evening. (14/9/21
big pub, they just want to travel after a long day. warm friendly reception, brilliant beer and fab eating. closed a few days (covid not help our pubs,) but cook and deliver daily. highly recommended.
very pleasant village pub, good pub food. the pub also has the village shop that is attached. during the Civic lock, their deliveries were a hero.
