this was a return visit as we have eaten several times here and have never been disappointed. the atmosphere is relaxed and the personal attentive and welcoming. at this opportunity we have booked a table (always advisable) for the birthday dinner of a friend. the menu is varied with a good choice both hot and cold elements. that eat freshly prepared and always worth waiting. when they visit, make sure to leave space for dessert, but a decision is not easy! if they are looking for a special event or just treating lust on themselves, I recommend to them to pay a visit. many thanks back to all the employees for a fantastic afternoon and see them again soon x

this caffe is well talked about and very popular among the locals. it is a hidden gem of stockport. if they like a Sunday afternoon tee, this is the place many small cakes and good quality tee that have to have the torn plates. but they will return 15 per person. but it is worth it. small sandwiches. Nice. it's all artdeco. so it makes them feel as if they should wear to visit! the service is quite ugly here. love the feeling of 1930.

Fabulous 1930s charm. I love this place. There is nowhere else quite like it; the cafe has been restored to it's 1920 original form with loving attention to detail by volunteers. Most of the staff here are volunteers so service can be a bit quirky at times best to just go with it. As far as an afternoon tea goes, I've been here and I've been to Betty's in Harrogate. Betty's has the queues, The Plaza has the better afternoon tea.

wonderful art deco caffe with good old fashion service. accessible by mobility scooters, but not surprised when the cozy lift opens laterally in the first floor! eating is good, but how could they walk out of the rake?!
