I got a call from Tom George to say they wouldn't serve brunch during the summer months, only dinner. The hostess was very nice and asked me to postpone dinner, which I did. The hostess also offered my group a round of drinks for the inconvenience. So I arrived at the restaurant at 6 p.m. on Sunday because I wanted to celebrate Father's Day with my family and the restaurant was closed. We were very surprised and disappointed. The restaurant didn't call the next day and I decided not to eat there again. So I went to the LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel on Sunday and we had a lovely dinner that I knew I would because I've been there before. I don't know whose responsibility it is at the open table to be sure that the information about a restaurant is current and accurate, but nothing like this has ever happened to me in a restaurant.
Very good food and creative cocktails in an interesting space. A special highlight for us was the exceptionally good gluten-free pizza. Really good crust that was actually bread-like, crispy on the edges and not moist or flat in the middle. Bravo!
We enjoyed our experience here. Reasonable price for good food and service. That's hard to find in DT LA these days. We will come back!
