If you ever wanted to know where the Queen Mary faculty goes for drinks after lectures this is it. There's a very high chance of meeting a few drunk professors there so if you're a Queen Mary student you may want to keep that in mind. The pub itself is hidden away from the main road near Mile End and it does not look like much from the outside. However, inside its hiding 3 good sized rooms and a garden area so it's ideal for big groups. The staff is friendly and there's a good selection of drinks. The kitchen is exposed at the back room so you can see while your food is prepared. However I did not have anything this time so I can not tell if it's good. I don't think it's a venue you need to go out of your way to get to but if you live in the area you should keep it in mind for when you are looking for a drink.

BEAUTIFUL. lovely little pub hidden away on the back streets of Mile End, I was luck enough to be introduced to this charming little pub. Drinks are cheap-ish (Watch out for the card minimum spend) and though I only treated myself to a plate of oven-baked chips, they were absolutely delicious, and the rest of the menu looked relatively decent prices, especially for London. There's a really nice area out the back for all you smokers. Can get a little busy, and the pubs relatively small- lets call it cosy- so i'd reserve if you're eating, or turn up early if you want a table but its really lovely out back if you can handle the cold TIP-The blankets? The strange wicker bin in the corner? They're provided by the pub for you so take advantage!
