We were house hunting in the area and bumped into friends who suggested we had a break and called at 'The Lemon Tree.' I had a bacon sandwich and my wife had a slice of carrot cake. The bacon sandwich with side order of mushrooms and a fried egg took the concept of 'bacon sandwich' to a level undreamed of before. A large finger roll slit in two with several slices of grilled tomato on the top and a load of bacon on the base together with the perfect fried egg and a generous helping of fried chopped mushrooms made this the perfect mid morning break. My wife told me that the carrot cake was pretty special as well.We have been back with other friends and introduced them to this oasis. The second time I had the same as before but this time with two eggs. My wife had a favourite French light meal. a croque monsieur. which she told me was the best croque monsieur she had ever had. Are we looking at Michelin stars here? Frankly, No. Are we looking at terrific British food, well cooked, well served and fantastic value for money. Oh Yes!

It was a surprise! You want to eat good and cheap, making fun of your marmaille, make a detour through this unusual place! gouty sandwiches, full salads, absolutely divine homemade cakes, at incredible prices, in a place at the right franquette, where we spoke english, filled with English books to read and little nice memories, to offer. all served by a lovely English couple!Frankly a very pleasant surprise!

It is the best place ever in France. It is cheap and D e l i c i o u s. The owners are simple and easygoing. Loved to be there. In addition we can buy art and ceramics for good prices. I highly recommend to go.

A nice little English-run tea room/coffee shop. The freshly made cakes are delicious, especially the carrot cake. The breakfasts too are hearty. The wifi is fast, free and reliable. Highly recommended.
