Seafood cooked in butter? Bread soaked in butter? I am SOLD! The baguette is toasted with the right amount of butter not too greasy like you’re just eating butter. There’s still that crunchy texture from the bread. The portions are also big so we basically shared the food. They were not stingy with the meat and lobster on each sandwich either. I always like my seafood with New England clam chowder if it’s available, and it was so I got a pint of it. All it was missing was some garlic bread to dip into the clam chowder. I ordered the lazy lobster roll, crab cakes, the ribby roll, shrimp po’boy, and a shrimp cocktail. My least favorite was the crab cakes. The sauce was a little too sour for my taste but by itself, crab cake was bland. The shrimp po’boy was probably my favorite. It was seasoned perfectly and the shrimp was not over cooked. The lazy lobster roll wasn’t bad either but smaller size compared to the other sandwiches. The ribby roll was mixed with potatoes and just the right amount of barbecue sauce. Again, the clam chowder was good. Very creamy and sandless (lol). The shrimp cocktail was one big shrimp but the sauce was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would most definitely come back and revisit. It’s also BYOB and don’t you know it, the next block is a liquor store so guess where I went to get my drinks and bring back to The Lazy Lobster?

Been stopping at this joint for a few years now and it never disappoints especially after a kayak session from around the corner. My ABSOLUTE favorite is their lobster roll. From the warm crusty butter-soaked roll stuffed with a whole lobster's worth of deliciousness to their creamy and tangy coleslaw topping.. can't ask for anything better! Although a friend of mine paid a visit on a Sunday and said there was definitely less lobster meat so maybe pick an off-peak day to go : The steamer basket usually comes in an assortment of clams and mussels but when we went this time they only had clams, fine with me! These cherrystone-sized clams were sitting in a nice creamy buttery garlic sauce. I'm drooling just writing about them. The crab cakes were tasty too but the lobster roll and clams were definitely clear winners for me! Covid-19 times are crazy right now but luckily they do have a few outdoor seating tables with umbrellas! If you can't find a good spot, plop a seat on the beach and watch the calm water on Walnut Beach. You just can't go wrong

Visiting from Colorado and found The Lazy Lobster by accident. We were SO THRILLED we found them! The PERFECT lunch by the beach. Homemade baguettes and the lobster roll was AMAZING! The guys working there were so friendly and helpful. Get some crab cakes too delicious! 100% recommend that you head there now before they sell out for the day!!!

Pricey at $32 for a lobster roll but it is by far the best in CT that we have had. Big chunks of lobster, toasted roll dripping with butter and home made coleslaw that is different and delicious. Outside dining but tables are limited at only 7 or 8. Friendly staff. Order inside and they deliver outside to you.
