Tonight we were out for a special family meal for my brother's birthday of us). Wonderful ambience, live music being played at a good sound level so it added to the atmosphere. Great seating and lighting. The food overall was wonderful, and well presented. However, what has compelled me to write my first review in ages is the standard of the customer service. There were some issues with two of the main courses, and I was so impressed with the professionalism of how it was handled. There was a genuine care for getting it right for the customer and attention to detail that I haven't seen in a restaurant for a long time. This extended from the managers/owners, the chef and the team serving the food. Well done the Kirkfield, and thank you for a very pleasant evening!
Very poor breakfast, cold beans, overdone poached eggs and greasy bacon, can’t keep the chefs here. Extremely poor management, he is always shouting and screaming at the staff and Lindsay. One staff member was left crying after one of his screaming fits. I suggest Terence puts himself on a customer service course and management course ASAP then his chefs might stay. I do understand staff need to be spoken to at times but not in public and not in an aggressive bullying way.
Headed here as an alternative to our usuals and weren't disappointed. Gorgeous food, fantastic service and exceptional staff who worked together to provide a brilliant experience. Between the group of us we had sharing nachos to start, fish chips and gammon for mains and shared a chocolate fudge brownie for dessert; all of which were exceptional. Hats off to the owners and staff, will be back soon!
Amazing dining experience with amazing service, busy night in the restaurant , food and produce outstanding puddings to die for, waitresses outstanding very personable and friendly never stopped serving all with with the same care and professionalism
