"Unassumingly good food. Everything we ate was tasty, particularly the fish and chips and smokehouse ribs pork belly. Mac and cheese up there with some of the best (even by US standards)."

We went here for a meal on Saturday with our daughter to celebrate Father's Day. We were in the area and my daughter found it. Plenty of parking, a garden and plenty of space inside to sit down and eat. Lovely choice of food including a good vegetarian option. Excellent service although we did have to wait awhile between courses.

Second time dining here. When I turned down the table in a dingy corner of the bar area, we were taken into the restaurant. What an impressive room. A couple of walls full of horseshoes and the ceiling rafters hung with pretty teacups and other ceramics.

We celebrated our wedding at the ivy house. Sarah and the team looked after us really well. Nothing was too much trouble, they decorated the room for us nicely and everyone was saying how nice the food was. Would recommend!

Cracking pub. We didnt stay over, so cant judge the rooms at all. We went for fish and chips, they were fantastic. The beer garden is great, but noisy from the road. Live music on friday evenings
