The Horseshoe - Table reservation

Due to the challenges of the pandemic, we very rarely go out for lunch anymore. Today, we decided to visit The Horseshoe, and before we'd left we were already planning our next visit!!! My wife wanted an entree and a dessert, and I wanted something...from the main lunch menu, and both us couldn't have been happier with our choices. My wife's pate/salad was lovely, and it was a generous portion; my roast beef with caramelised onion baguette with chunky chips and a fresh salad can hardly be properly described without you thinking I was plunging into hyperbole. Suffice it to say that the beef was lean and tasty, the chips crispy, and the salad extremely varied (the dressing too was excellent balsamic and mustard, I believe). My wife then had a chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, but its size beat her (another VERY rare event! and we topped it all off with delightfully light and aromatic tea. All in all, we couldn't fault ANY element of our meal, even if we tried. Additionally, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the price really reasonable at about We'll be taking our mum and daughter there for lunch next week, and we may have found our perfect summer treat. We simply can't recommend The Horseshoe highly enough...

I went to the horseshoe today for lunch and it was a very good experience from the moment we entered to the moment we left. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was gorgeous. I had the vegan tomatoes tort and it...was delicious. I knew the horseshoe offered a good selection of gluten free options but never expected to have such a good vegan selection too! We asked if we could go to an outdoor table for the coffee , which is a nice secluded sitting area. A very nice experience iwill be repeating very soon!

Had a glorious meal at the Horseshoe. The food is so good and the waiting staff are so friendly and helpful. I almost don't want to tell people how good the Horseshoe at Thurlby is as I want to keep it for myself but they...deserve all the plaudits. Simply fantastic.

One of the best pubs I've ever been in the staff so friendly and helpful all the covid rules were in force and no matter where you sit you feel safe the food is good i would definitely recommend this place to anyone

This place never ever fails. Superb Sunday lunch, plenty of choices. Good service, great facilities.
