"Decent staff and a decent pint, but for some reason there was some halfwit playing some godawful, unintelligible music on their phone at a ridiculous volume yet none of the staff stopped it."

My wife and I had breakfast quite early on a Friday morning, and truthfully wished we'd eaten elsewhere. The place was almost empty for a change, and we had our choice of seats. We made ourselves comfortable and ordered a large breakfast, standard breakfast and...a couple of orange juices using the app. The food was brought to our table incredibly quickly and there's a reason for that the food was barely warm, so quite obviously is cooked in bulk and then left on a hot' plate. It most certainly wasn't cooked fresh to order. We also hadn't received the drinks so had to ask for them to be gotten. In this pub no-one bothers to revisit the table to ensure that there wasn't any problems with the meals, so we just ate our lukewarm meal and left, making a mental note not to return anytime soon.

We were in Leicester for nights, at the travelodge around the corner, so popped in a few times for drinks, and once for a meal midweek. I always use the app for ordering, but on occassions, the drinks never came. After over i had to go to the bar to sort it out. Once it went missing, and second time, they had just forgot to bring it over.. Not good. as it was quite quiet. On the day we ordered food, a noisy bunch of students sat near us, so we asked to move after ordering, and the staff member was great, making sure our food and drinks came to the right table. I had the pizza and garlic bread, and was ok. typical Spoons fare. And the wifes fish and chips was decent enough..The place was kept clean as best they could, esp when busy

We came into the high cross for my daughter birthday ..who buried her baby the week before.. can't believe how sad the manager was. We are all aged between to of us and they barred us cos we were little loud ie..saying...happy birthday etc. ..this is personal as she knew my daughter..I won't say why???? But she asked us to leave after drinks ..cos we asked why she decided to bar us . Which I think was very unfair ..were are not teenagers!! I'm very angry about how we were treated. Because she knew my daughter!! So unfair. Thought this pub had their own rules ??I will be taken this further. Pathetic unfair .

The staff are rude! Brought out side context and barred our family from the pub for no good reason what so ever!! One of the staff members agrees with me that this is not right! Something needs to be done about the manager women!! This...isnt fair!!
