I recently stayed here for a funeral it was a tricky time made harder by the staff at this hotel. Good things bar staff amazing, breakfast was good, clean sheets towels Bad things Management were rude to staff and customers, disorganised and failing the little hotel. Things wrong with my stay: I booked a double and was given a shabby twin with single duvets gentlemen's clothes left in the wardrobe presumably left by a previous guest questions cleaning staff TV didn't work shower hose had so many leaks that that any power in the shower was lost, making it impossible to shower properly Divan bed had a shabby base that was on show no sheet windows had restrictors goof thing, a note saying do not tapper but all unattached. curtains half hanging off Bathroom was actually a cupboard with a toilet and a shower the entire space was old, worn and didn't feel clean. I've stayed in cheaper and better hostels. The pub has 12 rooms, which the funeral party accommodated more than half, paper thin walls old pub fine. Management asked us to keep the noise down, however doesn't feel the need to remind all guest of the thin walls my sleep was ruined by the neighbouring room watching TV loudly all night. All in all this knacked little pub has so much potential but being run into the ground. I only stayed one night, in the morning i left my comments with a team member who wrote them down so the manager could contact me they didn't, I emailed directly a few days later to ensure the note hadn't been misplaced no reply. This gives a true indication of how much they take feedback seriously. There are many places to stay in the area i would avoid this at all cost.
