Very nicely located pub in the middle of the charming village of Beckington. We called in the other day after a long trip and found the service delightful, the food excellent and the ambience warm and welcoming. The locals we were chatting to were obviously very fond of their village pub, and I can understand why. This is the kind of welcoming Inn that we used to find all over the place, but is pretty rare in this era of gastropubs and tarted up accommodation. For something that feels like a modern version of the traditional British pub you could hardly do better. Great food and great ales. I can't recommend specifics since, as they say, the menu changes daily, but it was all good quality and prepared and served with care. A pub to return to again and again. Service: 5 Location: 5
