head and shoulder up! not a pint stella or green king ipa in itself! a very large selection of well maintained craftsmen, real ales and warehouse wines. perfect to wash the food from their menu from local sources and food. I had the poisoning that was shot in the spot, from which I was supposed to die. if you haven't been, what are you waiting for?
Went for a Christmas meal as a large group. It was a raucous atmosphere due to the carol singing event that was going on, but this added to the fun. The staff were friendly and efficient, and served us well even though we were a large group and the rest of the pub was so busy!
Very warm welcome by all the staff. Food was a little disappointing as some items were substituted and not mentioned beforehand. Also, our food was quite salty. Lovely quaint pub situated in the lovely St Albans and staff were so polite and courteous.
Great buzzy local pub, warm welcome and great offers throughout the week.
