We enjoyed a well balanced and delicious tasting menu at Five Fields, dishes were the perfect balance of interesting without being too cutting edge and challenging to eat! The service was excellent and care was taken to explain all dishes. The restaurant was quiet at lunchtime which suited us however if you are looking for a more buzzy atmosphere it may not be your thing, however if you are looking for delicious food, look no further.
We book this for a treat but unfortunately the experience was not very enjoyable. Some of the food was ok but some inedible, the celeriac water for example which tasted like chlorine! The atmosphere was dry and uncomfortable.
Brilliant spot. The food was creative and well executed and the service was very professional but friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be returning again.
Outstanding. Relaxed, no pretension, but such high standards and quality. A real art in achieving the balance.
