the journey to the remote castle already leads through a wonderful landscape. the castle or actually the ruin has its own idyllic charm. at the entrance you get a small booklet and on request an audioguide, both well done and informatiw. they should only have an English vocabulary that goes beyond English school. so they can learn a little more English. our children found the history of the blue lady very exciting. the workers of the English inheritance were very nice. how have spent two relaxing hours there and can recommend a visit. by the way, there are wonderful motives for photograps!
Been going to Berry Pomeroy Castle since 1996 and it's definitely captivating and fascinating. Definitely active and haunted but not all the time. Not everyone will see or experience anything there while others will even if you think your sensitive. Berry Pomeroy Castle is very atmospheric and photogenic with its beautiful tall walls and the 'bones ' of its glorious past. My first proper visit and planning to go again next week. Stunning place with walks too.
