"September 2021 my partner and I along with his sister and her fiancé had been to see a show at The Philharmonic and wanted a drink somewhere before heading home. We came across this little pub which was busy with a live band/singer. We managed to squeeze onto a small table and grabbed a drink it was lively and everyone was enjoying themselves. I nice little pub."

The Caladonia is a superb pub that offer a superb range of cask beer and is without a doubt one of the best pubs in this fantastic area of the city centre. This excellent pub is located on Caladonia street and is a really traditional pub with excellent staff and lots of friendly locals. This is a traditional street corner pub thats battled to stay open as a pub and it finally won its battle to trade as a pub and I have to commend them on there tenacity as this pub is one of a dying breed of pubs we are sadly loosing every week. This pub is housed in a traditional building with huge bay window's and brilliant decor and look's amazing when illuminated in the dark. The interior is brilliant with nice decor and furnishings and many interesting items throughout the whole pub interior and lots of good seating options. We had been to some excellent pubs while in this area of the city centre and decided to go here for a few beer's.It was very busy when we went here mid-afternoon and this is how we like our pub's as the atmosphere is superb. On our visit we had a few glasses of Rosie's brewery Triple D a refreshing well priced cider which were superb. If you're ever in this area of the city centre and looking for a traditional pub that offer well priced drinks give the Caladonia a try you won't be disappointed. So easy to find from Sugnall street bus stop its only a short walk away.(This is my second review of the Caladonia). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-12.00-00.00. Friday-Saturday-12.00-01.00. Sunday-12.00-00.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. Sugnall street bus stop.

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around the fantastic Georgian Quarter when we decided to drop into The Caledonia Pub ,a pub we always look forward to visiting on any trip into this district of Liverpool we take. I love the look of this pub ,the interior is superb ,an eye catching serving bar ,pubby decor and furnishings ,great wall art and lots of seating options ,it's just a great pub go chill out in. We were here on a Thursday morning ,we had a study of their real ale's and cider's and in the end we both opted to have Rosie's Brewery Triple D cider ,served iced cold ,we chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. This is a quality cider ,not your fizzy mass produced cider but a great well crafted cider ,no fizz just an amazing cider that was just a joy to drink. We really enjoyed our ciders in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Caledonia Pub is easy to locate along Caledonia Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, midday till midnight. Friday Saturday, midday till 1am. Sunday, midday till midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

I thought finding a pub with an all-vegan menu would be a big bonus after visiting the nearby comedy club. However, initial impressions didn’t match the website descriptions nor those of the recent 5-star reviews. The pub is simple enough and had we stayed for the live music I’m sure the atmosphere would have livened up. But our vegan meal was a big disappointment. Maybe my fault, but I hadn’t appreciated that the whole menu was essentially junk food. My onion bhaji burger had little taste and was so burnt is was barely edible. My partner said she enjoyed her classic burger but our friend had some sort of fake grey chicken that was very chewy. Overall, I’d give the food 2/5, the decor and atmosphere 3/5 and the friendly bar staff 5/5.

Loved this place , nice to see it has been done up. The time before last, I think the kitchen might have fed me something I said I was intolerant too... as i didn't feel too good for a few days. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave it another try... and both of us got food poisoning. We ate 6 days ago and partner is still unwell, so it's pretty bad case. because of this, i'm sorry to say I wont be eating here again. if i could score atmosphere, it would be a 5 star. bar staff are lovely and friendly! and the live music every night is a plus. but being ill really wiped out our weekend, not ideal just before Xmas as we had to cancel plans.
