This business, Cakes by Margaret or Legacy Pound Cakes has a hiding vibe in how the business is run. The cake was sliced almost under cover and you didn’t know what you got until you were long gone. The cake slice was small for $5. Hard to trust with this approach. Secondly, the cake does not taste homemade, instead it tastes store bought with extra butter and egg added. Also, the texture did not feel like a homemade pound cake; it tastes airy and light. Too too many questions, again, the hiding vibe initially felt makes one wonder if the cakes really are homemade. Other items purchased, they skimped on toppings….did not feel we got full value for our money!

Ms. Karen did our wedding cake and most wedding cakes I know are beautiful but nasty!! This cake however was one of the most moist, delicious cakes I have ever had...she did an amazing job!! We even had a hiccup with our order and she was still able to get it to us just in the right amount of time..if you are in need of a cake she is the one to go to!! Thanks Ms.Karen for making our day just that more special!!

My co-worker brought in some cake that was left after her child's birthday party and let me tell you, it was AMAZING. I will never forget how much I enjoyed eating that cake throughout my work day.

I've had at least a dozen special cakes from Karen and they are always top notch. She regularly goes above and beyond my expectations.
