The Big Kahuna Family Restaurant

This stop was the surprise for us when we drove home. We had the big Kahuna Burger and we also tried a dessert. The Burger was fantastic as well as the Pommes. And the dessert was homemade. Everything was great. It is a small place, a kind of local hole in the wall restaurant that is worth the stop. The owner came by and talked to everyone. Had a very home like feeling. There are no ruffles with this restaurant, but if you have great service and great food, you don't need it. Keep on the foundations and they do it well.

Great mom and pop restaurant. Warmly decorated Kahuna style. They made us feel like we were locals. Cooking was homestyle and you could see her cook. Very clean kitchen. Large desserts sit in the simple view of Diners. Makes it impossible to stay on your diet : I had a little less bacon burger to go with my cholesterol diet. It was wonderful.

This review is for happy hour only Went to Kona for happy hour drinks and sushi on a Tuesday starting at 4:30 so we sat right down in the bar.

Another opportunity: Another disappointing experience at lunch service..and I use the term "service" in the broadest terms.

My two friends and I got to Kona Grill at 7:40 and sat in the bar area for self seating.
