Brilliant. We visited in Dec for a family meal of 15. 2 of us are dairy intolerant and having done research found they offered a separate dairy free menu. They also have a separate gluten free one too. We all pre booked as we were a large party and it was leading up to Christmas. When we arrived each subfamily group was given a number and we ordered using that so at the end we could each pay our own bill, which was much easier. Now the food, my husband and I had ordered off the dairy free menu and everything came out clearly labelled as such. I had slow cooked beef which was the best I had tasted in a very long time and husband had minted lamb chops which were also excellent. What was also amazing was that there was a long dessert menu dairy free too, which never happens. The syrup sponge was delicious and although the ginger sponge tasted lovely the texture wasn’t as good as it was also gluten free and a bit gritty. The whole family had lovely meals and if it was closer to home I would be there on a weekly basis. They should be congratulated for their efforts with these menus. I felt more included than I ever had and totally safe food wise, so thank you.
Used to be our favourite place for lunch. Food is still excellent but the service yesterday was poor (busy Sunday). After arriving for lunch at 3pm, prebooked no one gave us a menu. After 15 mins I had to go to the bar and request it, could not catch the eye of staff. No one asked us how was your meal no water offered. Long wait again after finishing first course. Eventually a lady in a nice dress said would you like the dessert menu. We said Yes after which she disappeared, never to be seen again. After 15 mins I went to the bar again and requested the desert menu. Good vegan options!
Went here though heavy traffic due to road closures but well worth it lovely welcome as soon as in door by a young lady so sorry we didn’t get your name my husband had the pork on the special menu I had Cajun chicken both very tasty and reasonably priced will return when this way again.
I enjoyed my food , roast potatoes were crispy. A few others potatoes were under cooked . Think the swede needed cooking more . Pudding was lovely and another person , enjoyed their pudding too.
