It took about 20 minutes to get seated after our reservation time, but it was also a nice night out on a Friday so I don't blame them for being slammed. Drinks and food were really good. I enjoyed the French onion soup and also flakey bread they bring out. The branzino was cooked perfectly. Overall pretty good meal. Only complaint was outside the music was so loud from the entertainer that everyone was yelling and it made it difficult to have a conversation at the table.
I love this restaurant! The food and service are amazing, my favorites here are so far: the baked cheese fondue as an appetizer (do not think twice, order it! The sea scallops with lobster butter has perfect texture and taste, the white Cheddar burger is def on my favorite burger in Columbus, the New York Strip is absolutely amazing, Mac and cheese or Brussels sprouts as sides, and the oysters can not wait!
My new favorite place to eat! The food is phenomenal and perfectly cooked. Service was perfect and they had some good local beer selections. Overall, if you haven't been here, you should try it out. Before you think everything is really expensive, take a look at some of the sandwiches. I had scallops and would definitely recommend them. Similar places don't even come close.
Great steak! Cooked perfectly and well seasoned. I understand why this place gets so busy even on weekday nights. I appreciate how the Avenue isn't one of those steak houses where you have to pay $10+ for a side on top of a $45+ steak. Included with the steaks are 1 side and 1 salad. The interior is lively but I prefer the patio (heated in the winter).
