sat with my sister maureen on 15th april 2018. friendly reception and service from the moment we went. the food we ordered was both delicious and very full, absolutely no skipping on portion size. when I talk to friends about the fact that the guy is always the first place I mentioned. I feel proud of what the personal and my village deliver.
today for lunch and found it excellent. my friend had the seafood plate and was most impressed by the fresh and quality. I know it was a hot day, but I had the nice broth that was amazing. one of the great things is that it is dog friendly, so the pooch had lunch and his own bowl water. well made anchor hotel, hope to be back soon.
Just spent an amazing week in Johnshaven, eating at The Anchor every night!! The fresh seafood was amazing, especially the Beer Battered Lobster. Totally authentic pizza and Thai Green Curry, as good as they would have been at specialist restaurants.
good food, comfortable room , friendly staff , excellent location, if your looking for a relaxed break this is the place to go
