Our first visit, six of us for our annual siblings lunch. Nice place, good atmosphere. Service was a little slow but on the positive side we didn’t feel we were being rushed to make room for a later booking, (different pub, different year . The six of us ordered across the menu; two roasts, (one lamb one beef ; one pie, (looked home made ; one New York chicken; one liver bacon and one scampi. Food looked lovely, well presented and the plates were hot. Mine certainly tasted as good as it looked, (no photos, we were there to catch up eat, not photo our food, maybe it’s an age thing , the others in our party were as happy. I have dietary restrictions, (milk soy , and the staff were happy to check for me. There are vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options on the menu. Because of the age of the building there are steps here and there and no dedicated accessible toilet. However, one of the stalls in the ladies has rails and a raised seat, I can’t speak for the men’s but my husband said it was a bit tight for room. More than one person there was using a wheeled walker, including my husband. All things considered we are hoping to go back there next year.
