I like the place but I have to be impartial. Place needs a serious cleaning. Cobwebs on the chandelier could use some work. And the rest was the usual from an unkept place. Diffusers caked in dark dust. Brass posts all covered in dust. That aside, we were waiting 45 minutes for our food and while that may be fine, three tables that ordered enough food for 5 were served before us even though we ordered at least 15 to 20 minutes before them. The waiter came over to say he had our food, so it was weird when he neither had our food and never delivered any food anytime soon after telling us that. May just need more training. Other that that the food was good and huge portions which we had no chance of finishing.
more of a thai/Chinese/Vietnamese menu. quiet casual atmosphere with friendly staff. grasp of English of the staff is occasionally limited but pantomime always works out. numbers and pictures on the menu helps big time. dishes are catered for a western palate. if you want a more authentic Asian taste (i.e. hot and spicy) just ask the cook to prepare it the same as he/she does at home. they are more than happy to oblige. lots of free parking and easy access. for the serious traveller they are just out the backdoor and across the alley from the hostelling international regina location. good sized servings, very reasonably priced and I always seem to have a take out bag for tomorrows lunch.
This was my first time at this restaurant. We ordered a dinner for 5. Our food came in stages, not all at once which I did not like. The food was hot, but I was surprised that we did not get white rice with our order. Usually white rice comes with your order automatically. The food was good and I will think about going back.Two members of my family used the bathroom and they said it smelt very bad, because of their comment I refused to use the bathroom.
This place has great green curry! It's my favourite dish and my recommendation. Also very good pad Thai and rice vermicelli with broiled pork. Nice eat in as well as pick up/delivery.
