Don’t do it! It’s a violation against tapas and spanish/canarian food! We ordered white bait in vinegar, home made croquettes with aioli, padron capsicum peppers, wrinkled potatoes with mojos and bread topped with pork sirloin, caramelized onion, apple and cheese garlic dressing. White bait straight from the fridge, ready made. Nothing wrong to mise en place the food, but the tomatoes in the dish were too cold and tasteless. We also ordered some bread, because we wanted to dip the bread into the oil of all the dishes. We got one ”fresh” bun and some rusk and dry crackers. Maybe nice for waiting the food, not nice with the food. The fish was ok. Not great. Home made croquettes. I can’t even… no. Mushy and tasteless. Aioli? No. The peppers? Ok, there were lots of peppers. Bitter peppers, worse than I get from market back home in Finland. At this point I must say, all the dishes came separately. Usually tapas come all together or a bit overlapping. We got the first tapa (white bait) about 30 mins after we came, the second (peppers) ten minutes after. The third (papas arrugadas) five minutes after the second. The fourth 15 mins after the third… I would have preferred to taste papas arrugadas with all the tapas… but no, they were totally cold when the next dish arrived. So. Papas arrugadas. Terrible. Mushy, tasteless, nearly sweet (suomalaisille: koulun kumiperunat) with a little salt on the top. I hope nobody thinks this is papas arrugadas. Seriously. And the bread with pork sirkoin. Too sweet, didn’t taste the pork. I scratched the sweet ”apple jam” away. Still like a weird dessert. We had a couple of shots, they were the best part of our dinner. And the service? They seemed to know the food is baaaaaad. Nobody asked if the food was ok. Just took the (nearly) empty plates and our money. When we left, they just walked by us quickly… All this time, there was three tables of two persons. So probably not their busiest night?
