Our family of 5 were passing through Basel on our way to and from Italy (14/08/20 and 20/08/20). Staying at an Ibis hotel in Pratteln. We were looking for something cheap and cheerful (and not McDonalds). This place popped up on google maps and was a 10 minute walk away. They have 6 tables outside and several more indoors. Although at first glance this is a kebab shop with a counter, it’s a table service restaurant. Family run, mum and dad do most of the cooking and son (who speaks perfect English), does everything else. Drinks are help yourself with usual cans and a few tins of beer. They’ve got some Turkish beer on tap but didn’t try it. There’s a variety of pizzas, peids, kebabs and salads, even some vegetarian options (falafel etc). Their chicken kebab is so good, I ordered it twice! It’s located right by the tram stop and Pratteln station, so should be easy to get into central Basel if needs be. Super friendly service and good affordable food. Can’t ask for more! Can of coke 2.50CHF. Can Heineken 4.00CHF Margareta pizza 8.00CHF Massive kebab chips 12.00CHF
