I made the reservation and stated that it was a birthday dinner. The hostess acknowledged the birthday and seated us. From that point on, the server mentioned nothing about the birthday and obviously didn’t offer us a complimentary dessert or whatever, even though we saw others in the restaurant being served birthday desserts with candles, etc. I was embarrassed to mention that this was a birthday dinner celebration, assuming that the hostess relayed the information to the server. Very disappointing. Also, since we have been there in the past, they obviously changed the menu descriptions for certain items. The current braised beef is the same “beef cheek” as shown on previous menus and their website. This is certainly a “spin”. My wife is a foodie and she believes the loaded baked potato soup did not have bacon as described, but pork jowl.
